Bring Your Own Assistant

"Which orders still need shipping?" is a question about your store. Ask it in ChatGPT — the window where you already write everything else — and the answer comes back as a table: three eBay orders still unshipped, a few hundred dollars waiting, the oldest of them sitting there for over a month.

SellerClaw is a team of AI agents connected to the stores you sell on, plus your suppliers and ad accounts, and its own chat is the main way in. But you already pay for an assistant and already trust it with your work — so it can drive the same account instead. Claude and ChatGPT both connect directly, and none of the safety rails move when they do.

Two minutes in Claude

In SellerClaw, open Your team → Running them from other apps, pick Claude, and press Open in Claude Directory.

The green button is where to start. The server address further down is only for workspaces that don't offer the directory.

The button opens SellerClaw's page in Claude's own directory of connectors. Press Connect to Claude, sign in to SellerClaw when Claude sends you there, and approve access once. That's the setup.

The note under the header is Claude's own: SellerClaw is a community connector, published by SellerAI, Inc.

There is no API key to generate, nothing to install, no address to copy. The connector follows your Claude account, so the same one works in the browser, on your phone, in the desktop app and in Cowork — you connect it once, not on every machine. One caveat if you use Claude through work: on a team account only an owner can add connectors, and until they do the option isn't offered to you at all. For a workspace without the directory, the same card in SellerClaw keeps the address and the steps to add it by hand.

One address in ChatGPT

ChatGPT calls them plugins, and it connects by address: pick ChatGPT on the same SellerClaw page and copy the address it shows. Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Security and login, open the Plugins page, press +, name it SellerClaw and paste the address with Connection on Server URL. Leave Authentication on OAuth — there is nothing to fill in under Advanced — confirm the warning about custom servers, press Create, and sign in.

One field carries the whole connection: the address. Everything under it is discovered from that address.

Two limits, up front: custom plugins need a paid ChatGPT plan, and on Business or Enterprise an admin has to allow them before you can add one.

What the outside assistant actually gets

Four tools: read the guide, see what exists, look up what one command needs, run it. The assistant composes the rest itself out of the same commands our own agents use, and you decide per tool whether it may act freely or has to ask first.

The middle icon on each row is ask-me-every-time, and it is where anything that changes something starts out.

What does not travel to the client is the approvals. Money and outbound email still wait for your yes, whether the request comes from SellerClaw's own chat, a scheduled task or ChatGPT. And the connection is one line in Connected apps: revoke it and that app is out of your account the same second.

Neither does the plain speaking get lost on the way out. Asked how the stores had done over the last quarter, Claude split the answer by currency rather than add dollars to euros — and then said outright that no costs were on file, so it could not show profit or margin. The same answer you would get in SellerClaw, because it is the same answer.

What changes for you

You stop having a place you must log into to check on your business. The agents keep working in SellerClaw, and the assistant already open on your screen can look in, ask, and act — on the same account, under the same approvals.
